Licious, a leading meat and seafood delivery service, has acquired Bengaluru-based retailer My Chicken and More in a cash-and-equity deal. This acquisition marks a strategic move to boost Licious's offline presence and strengthen its omnichannel approach, expanding its footprint in South India.
Omnichannel Expansion Strategy
With this acquisition, Licious will increase its offline retail presence to 26 stores, bolstering its reach. Licious co-founders Vivek Gupta and Abhay Hanjura highlighted the value of scaling their offline presence to deliver quality and transparency while enhancing their digital offerings.Licious has been actively expanding its offline stores, aiming to open 500 locations in key markets in the coming years. This move is part of a broader trend of online-first brands entering the offline retail space to tap into new user bases.

Founded in 2007, My Chicken and More has grown steadily, processing between 1.6 and 1.8 million orders annually and generating revenues of Rs 110 crore in 2023. The brand's success in profitability and supply chain efficiency made it an attractive acquisition target for Licious.The partnership will leverage both companies' strengths to enhance consumer offerings in the South Indian market, with a shared vision of delivering high-quality, hygienic meat products.
